To What Depth Will Humanity Venture?
My good friend Patrick and I were talking today about the limitations on what a human being will do.
If it can be argued, a human being will do it.
This is the depravity we are capable of, and this is what we will see around us. If a human has the capability to make an argument for something, that something will be done.
The wicked possibilities are endless, but some of the milder, more immediate forms could be...
- Marriage is not a legally binding agreement. What right does that one beautiful woman have to give her body to only one man? She should be enjoyed sexually by the entire community. We are all equals.
- What right does a man have to only divide his inheritance amongst his offspring? We are all equals. The inheritance should be divided amongst the entire community.
This is also why Jesus Christ says, "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matthew 24:22)
